If you answered yes to all of those questions, you may be a good fit for a national telecommunications not-for-profit association that is looking for a regulatory affairs specialist to craft and execute its regulatory strategy.
Experience in the telecom industry is required, but a passion to make a difference and the ability to multi-task are essential.
As a self-starter reporting to the Executive Director, you will advance the association’s interests by leading its regulatory strategy while collaborating with a number of like-minded legal experts at member companies. You will oversee all legal and policy submissions concerning telecommunications matters to the CRTC and government bodies including Innovation, Science and Economic Development and the Competition Bureau.
Monitor the ever-changing regulatory landscape in Canada in real-time and highlight solutions to potential issues/challenges.
Write snappy and concise regulatory submissions to the CRTC and other government bodies that a multitude of stakeholders can understand.
Manage, balance and synthesize various and sometimes dissenting opinions on specific issues
WHAT YOU BRING:
5-plus years’ experience in a telecom regulatory role
Superior written advocacy and oral communications skills
Knowledge of public policy processes
Success in complex issues management
